Sorry but it just wasn't very good. Nothing special. Not gross though. I liked the place but it felt like they just have a couple of fryers in the kitchen and that's it. I realized after eating here that all the ratings in Duluth are inflated. 4 stars?! Come on Yelpers - where's your self respect? Service was attentive - they deserve credit for that.

Don't pass this by on the way north. Best burger I've ever had. Get the beacon burger and the sweet potato fries, it comes with a pineapple dipping sauce. Absolutely divine!

Had a wonderful experience at Emily's! We just had a bad experience a another local pub, and we decided to try this quaint place.scenery was beautiful! Service was fabulous.. We stayed at a resort across the street, so we stopped here for about 3 of our meals on different days, had different server each visit, and every time they were so personable, and knowledgeable about the food. Service was FAST even when it was busy! The menu is great, perfect size. The fish is FRESH, literally from lake superior that morning. We saw them bringing in the coolers off the lake, so we came back that night for the fresh fish special. Huge portions! Taste was wonderful! The food all has a wonderful twist very flavorful! Had the beef dip, the roast beef was so tender and moist, swiss cheese and mushrooms. Seasoned perfectly!! Had the Fitz. Another visit, very delicious!! They have a great chef!!! Don't miss this place! Then go across the street to the Candy store!!!

Cute place and great food! I had the wild rice burger. It was one of the best meals I've ever had. My husband had a burger which he really enjoyed, but what really made him happy was the gravy that he requested to dip his fries in. The service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and on top of things. If your looking for a charming place to grab a bite for lunch on your scenic drive day, this is the place! Cute nautical decor with a row boat in front filled with flowers. I noticed that the building/business is for sale. Hope it's still there next year for us to visit again. If your a vegetarian, stopping here for the wild rice burger is a must!

I am going to say no thanks. The food was ok, nothing really to write home about. I had the Walleye sandwich and my wife had the club. The beer was good. I like Castle Danger brewery. It is a nice little restaurant, nice location. I am not a fan.

We went for dinner and I had the pan fried white fish. Absolutely wonderful. Great vies of Lake Superior. My wife had the Turkey Sandwich with Gravy and said it was like Thanksgiving in sandwich form. Very friendly and attentive service and the locals were chatty as well. The ONLY very MINOR downside is that I would not recommend the Apple Caramel Crunch. Not much Caramel no crunch. Over all a very good meal and we will go back.

Eh. The ambience was nice. It has a cozy, maritime feel to it. Hubby and I love fish and chips, so we were excited to spot this place and to hopefully have a decent meal. Unfortunately, the food was a let down. The fish that came with the "chips" were the dried-out breaded kind-like you would get at the supermarket. Heck, a restaurant in the Mall of America makes fish 'n chips that are 10 times better than these. Our kids' meals were nothing spectacular, either. At least the meal was reasonably priced.

Suprisingly good selection of beers on tap, lots of local beers. Service was good and the food was tasty. Very relaxed/homey atmosphere. The deck right on the river is AMAZING. This is a great place to stop if you are on your way north and don't want to get off the highway Duluth.

Solid little place on the way up to Grand Marais. The prices were reasonable and the food was pretty good, and the sandwiches were just unique enough to set them apart from the norm. Service was friendly and attentive, and the view from outside is nice.

I went there for the first time last week for the all you can eat taco's and they weren't very good. The taco shells weren't pre-warmed before they filled them so they weren't crispy. The meat had no Mexican seasoning whatsoever and they were cheap with the toppings. The lettuce was warm and wilted. I was hoping for more authentic Mexican tacos, these were not....As I looked at other peoples' food it looked liked decent American fare and a reasonable price. I will return since I live in the area. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. Great views out the back windows and deck area! This place is one of the better priced restaurants on the Scenic Drive, most of the other places are what us locals call, tourist prices.....so as a local I was glad to find a reasonable place to eat without having to drive to Duluth or Two Harbors...I will go back, but not for taco's.....

I'm really happy that Emily's is open again! The new owners are really intent on giving their guests a good value and good food for their dollar. My family (2 adults, 3 young boys) stopped for lunch...everything was great, and my French Dip was excellent (not the tired old deli beef...real cut-off-the-roast beef). Even though we didn't drink any alcohol, their wine and beer list was loaded with good stuff at very fair prices. You gotta stop here!

I was here July 29, 2012 and the name is now "Lighthouse at Emily's"; website is lighthouseatemilys.com . I was here a few years ago when it was Emily's and I think it's been neatened up a bit. Love the deck on back overlooking the river and a train track. I like the food, the atmosphere, everything.
